Technical Project Manager
Digital Strategy is seeking an experienced and hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead and manage technical delivery projects working with federal clients. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for developing a product vision and managing client expectations, scope, schedule, and quality of project deliverables. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly become an expert in client business processes and data to serve as an advisor on overall project vision.
Core Responsibilities
- Client relationship management with regards to project delivery
- Manage a small team of product owners/business analysts, developers, testers, and/or trainers
- Standardize the approach and template for developing technical deliverables
- Partner on product rollout and change management activities with clients and other company resources
- Responsible for the full software development lifecycle for technical projects
Position Requirements:
Proven ability in planning, developing, and delivering technical projects, including application development and/or data analytics. The Technical Project Manager will be experienced in developing project plans, leading project kick-off and scoping meetings, leading requirements sessions, reviewing business and technical deliverables, managing risk, and ensuring high-quality delivery of products.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field.
- A minimum of 12 years of technical work experience, with five years of experience leading technical projects.
- Strong time management/prioritization skills.
- Experience as hands-on business analyst or developer in past projects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Federal consulting experience is preferred.
