Data Engineer (Hybrid)
Digital Strategy LLC is looking to hire a Data Engineer to help drive impactful insights through the delivery of pivotal data analytics products tailored for federal clients. Our data analytics solutions make a meaningful impact on government staffing, engagement, performance, and efficiency.Specific duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Work with senior data engineers to gather and understand data requirements from various stakeholders.
- Develop, test, and deploy data integration solutions to move and transform data from various sources into target systems.
- Collaborate with data architects and database administrators to optimize data storage and retrieval.
- Assist in data quality assurance, data cleansing, and data validation efforts.
This role is a hybrid position and will require some work on-site in Rockville, Maryland
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Communications, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of work experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a Data Engineer.
- A Master’s Degree may substitute for two (2) years’ of experience.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with an attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience in Agile product development methodologies, fostering flexibility and adaptability.
- Experience with recruiting and workforce planning activities and data is a plus.
- Due to federal guidelines, US Citizenship is required for this role.
