The Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) business development program enables Federal Government agencies to contract directly with certified 8(a) contractors. The 8(a) sole source vehicle provides agencies a simplified and shortened acquisition procedure.  Digital Strategy, LLC is a certified SBA 8(a) program participant through July 17, 2030. 

The 8(a) sole source vehicle provides agencies a simplified and shortened acquisition procedure: 

  »  Reduced decision cycle

         - The time required to award contract is usually within days

  »  Lowered administrative costs 

         - Procurement process and time is reduced to a minimum

  »  Prices reflecting the best value 

         - Agency negotiates with the firm directly to get the best value

  »  Credit for promoting small business participation within agency

  »  Can initiate a contract with a simple high-level statement of work

1. Discuss program with Digital Strategy and establish program requirements and timeframe/schedule. 
2. Contact your Contracting Officer (CO), Agency Small Business Specialist or Digital Strategy's SBA Business Opportunity Specialist for assistance. 
3. The CO will send an Offering Letter to the SBA requesting permission to conduct sole source negotiations with Digital Strategy LLC. 
4. The SBA confirms eligibility of Digital Strategy and authorizes the negotiations. 
5. The CO negotiates with Digital Strategy LLC.
6. Upon completion of negotiations, CO prepares a contract award document and sends to Digital Strategy for signature. 
7. Upon receipt of the executed contract from Digital Strategy, the CO signs the contract and sends it to the SBA. 
8. Contract performance begins.

Optimally, this entire acquisition process could be two weeks or less in duration.
