HR Communications and Training Specialist (Remote)
Digital Strategy, LLC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Communications and Training Specialist to support our Human Resources (HR) functions for one of our Federal Government contracts. This position is permanent, full-time salaried, with benefits, and is fully remote.
The incumbent will serve as a Federal Government contractor. Provides HR related communications and training experience that caters to a diverse group of audience. Experience developing high-quality documents, presentations, and multimedia instructional content for web-based portals. They will work with client leadership and subject matter experts to understand purpose and audience for developing communications and training content as depicted below. The incumbent will have strong strategic and collaborative skills to strategize and review content with clients and team members to finalize and deliver valuable products/solutions for organizational distribution.
Desired candidate should have the ability to meet strict deadlines. Takes accountability for own work and ensures finished product is client ready.
Below are some of the product artifacts that the candidate will be creating or enhancing:
- Strategic plans for a variety of domains, including data management, knowledge management, workforce management, etc.
- Content for Workforce Management and Knowledge Management portal
- Training and Process Guidance Documents
- Instructional videos
- Presentation formats (graphics, charts, tables, etc.)
- Training materials with aligned learning objectives that meet client’s strategic goals.
- Engagement activities to increase user traffic and adoption of web-based portals.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Education, Instructional Design, Marketing, Human Resources, or comparable disciplines.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of total work experience, four (4) of which include technical writing experience preparing communication strategic plan documents, which requires planning, graphic design, proofreading, editing, and promoting content targeted to a wide range of audiences, including senior management. Four (4) of which include instructional design experience developing presentations, multimedia (videos, graphics, icons, etc.) job aids, training manuals, guides, interactive eLearning and gamification.
- Proficient in writing, editing, and illustrating using the MS Office Suite and other tools.
- Expert written and oral communication skills, and technical editing and proofreading skills.
- Experience working in a deadline driven environment with strong attention to detail.
- Experience developing multimedia instructional content in Canva, Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline) & Camtasia.
- Preferred experience interviewing subject matter experts.
- Preferred experience working in change management or knowledge management projects.
